Hi people!
Today
I'm going to talk about a “perfect song”, always has been
difficult to me talking about favourite things in music, because I
really like different music styles.
One of
the bands that I listen since I was younger was Radiohead, until now
is one of my favourites bands I think and one of the songs that I
like it more is Street spirit.
The
song was written by Thom Yorke (vocalist), it was published in 1996
and it was the final song of the album The Bends. Thom Yorke said
that the song was inspired by the novel “The hungry road” (Ben
Okri) and the music was inspired in the band R.E.M.
The
sound of Radiohead is very depressant and that is the reason but I
like, I love its darkness and smoothness, I like to listen when I'm
relaxed, when I'm working or when I'm feeling bad, help me to release
the sadness.
The
Thom's voice is so beautiful, specialy when he is singing treble and
in this particular song his voice envelops me.
The
song represent to me the end, everything is wrong, everything is
against you all this as result of the speed of destuction of the
earth and ourselves. I think in it almost as a farewell letter but
camouflage and makes me reflect about the moment
and be grateful.
