A picture that I like!

Hi everyone again!

Today I want to share a photo and telling a little story behind it.

In the summer of 2014, me and my best friend Zoe went on a trip to Peru and Ecuador and this picture was taken the first day in Montañita :)

When we got there, we looked for accommodation, left our stuff and went to the beach, the water was warm so we spent all day there. When the day begins to end, I saw the most beautiful sunset so far, so we decided to make pictures, when I was posing appeared a puppy, I stroked it without knowing that my friend kept taking pictures and she captured that moment :)
I think that the photo shows the beautiful beach, a sense of peace and my relationship with animals someway.

Then we were just sitting on the sand, watching the scenery. I remeber that moment as one of the happiest, no time, no worries... only the sea, the sky and I.

How green are you?

Hi everyone :)

Today I want to share the things that I do for the environment :)
A few years ago I decided to take care of my impact on Earth, in the first time I started to recycle paper, paperboard, cans and plastic.
I decided to change my diet too, I became vegetarian... in the first moment as something animalistic but then studying and learning more about the meat industry I understood the impact it has on the environment so I want to change to a vegan diet.
I  have a bottle filled with water in the pool of my bathroom to reduce the consumption of water per flush and I use sprays only when I have to tattoo, to disinfect.
I try to go everywhere with a bottle and my own bag, but sometimes I forget it :(
This year I bought a bike :) and it has been my best investment, I avoid the traffic jam and exercise.

I like to find ways to be greener to contribute to saving the planet

Movies ♥

Hi :)

Well, I'm a movie fanatic, especially terror movies 3:) so, I'm going to talk about one of my favourites saga Saw.
This is the story of a man with cancer and soon life who decided to test all the people who according to him "don't appreciate life", all the persons that tests are somehow related to him.
I really like the story that unfolds over the 7 movies and all the mistery, blood and murders... not because I enjoy the slaughter, but because the effects and how they manage dismemberment, its very realistic.
Recently I heard that will make the eighth film and I wait for it anxiously.

A movie that I hate is Drag me to hell... this movie is so so so bad, it doesn't cause any fear, at times even made me laugh, the special effects are very false and it's too fantastic and exaggerated. Seriosly, I will not recommend anyone in no case.
I love the movies who scared and keep you nervous and attentive... and this movie doesn't it.

My future job

Hi everyone!
Today I'm going to write about future job.
I consider myself as someone who loves learning, I'm constantly participating in workshops, from food, cosmetic to self-management and self-knowledge.
Since 3 years ago I'm tattoing, so is my current work and I would like to be my job forever, I want to open my own tattoo studio. In relation to my career as artists, I like to do painting and drawing workshop in a cultural house.

In relation to other interests, I like the handicrafts, with macrame, plastic, paperboard or cans, I would love to have a recycling and decoration venture, or maybe intervening used clothing.
I would like to be a yoga instructor or a therapist, I practice for my own wellness and I would love to be part of the welfare of someone else.
Finally I would like to be a drummer, I never play the drums but I like it a lot and I would like to become part of a rock band someday... do tour and see new places, that would be awesome.

A perfect song

Hi people!

Today I'm going to talk about a “perfect song”, always has been difficult to me talking about favourite things in music, because I really like different music styles.

One of the bands that I listen since I was younger was Radiohead, until now is one of my favourites bands I think and one of the songs that I like it more is Street spirit.
The song was written by Thom Yorke (vocalist), it was published in 1996 and it was the final song of the album The Bends. Thom Yorke said that the song was inspired by the novel “The hungry road” (Ben Okri) and the music was inspired in the band R.E.M.
The sound of Radiohead is very depressant and that is the reason but I like, I love its darkness and smoothness, I like to listen when I'm relaxed, when I'm working or when I'm feeling bad, help me to release the sadness.
The Thom's voice is so beautiful, specialy when he is singing treble and in this particular song his voice envelops me.
The song represent to me the end, everything is wrong, everything is against you all this as result of the speed of destuction of the earth and ourselves. I think in it almost as a farewell letter but camouflage and makes me reflect about the moment and be grateful.

A day that I will always remember

Hi audience!

This can be a sad history but letf me a beautiful reflection.
Well, It was a day that I felt really bad, I was very hurt and heartbroken. That day I fight with all, it was one of those days where everything goes wrong.
I returned to my department where I leave alone with my cat, Panda. Being along makes me think abaout everything so I couldn’t find calm, I remember started to cry and cry in my bathroom, with the door closed and suddenly, Panda open the door and sits looking at me, I told him what was happening to me and why I was criying, he started meowing stronger and while more I cried, he more he continued meowing higher, then began to rub with me and purr, it was then I understood that he was consoling me and in fact he succeeded.
Since then I know that we are connected and that he can undertand me, so are relation is nearest.
I like to say “sometimes when there isn’t a hand, there are a paw” and I have a unconditional paw

Holidays!

Hello again :)

With my family we try to travel a lot, my parents are always on road during the year and on holidays we always travel all togheter at least a few years. The best travel that we made I think is undoubtedly Easter Island in the summer of 2015. We went there when the people are celebrating the Tapati, their most important festival, so we could know a lot of their culture.

First, the island is wonderful, it wasn't as I imagined, it is smaller than I thought and so much beautiful, the hills, the ocean and the vegetation, all is very green. It is like the countryside in the central zone, remains me to my city a little too (without the sea).

The people are very gentil despite the conflict with the mainland, men are so beautiful haha. My family enjoyed a lot the food but I had to be ingenious because I’m vegetarian and they eat a lot of fish, but I looove the pineapples, there are smaller but so much sweet and tasty.

The sea is warm, so you can swim in any time, even if it’s raining or cold. This principal beach is Anakena, where you can enjoy the turquoise sea and the white sand while you watch one of the principal Ahu in the island.

The Moai are so magnificence, when I saw the first one I really felt very very small and insignificant, but I flooded a sense of calm and really felt energy.

I create a sense of belonging, of conection, so I was very sad the day we must start.

It is certainly a place that I must return.

This is a photo that I took in Anakena, the first Ahu that I knew.

Travel the world ♥

Hello people!

Today I’m going to talk about a country that I would like to visit, actually I love to travel so there are some places that I want to know.
Is part of my plans when I ends the career travel South America. I would like to go from one place to another in a year.  I want to know the differents ancestral cultures and our conection with them and the past and their knowing about the earth, try to absorbe all of the people in the places and apply to my lifestyle.
After travel South America, I would like to know Thailand, because its beautiful landscape, I like so much the architecture and its magnificence.
I think is a very heartwarming place, very peaceful. I consider that as a necessary travel to connect with the spiritual, along with India, of course. Both of them are neccesary if you want to understand why we are here.
Also, I would like to know the “typical” countrys around the world,  included the World’s wonders.

I’m convinced that travel is the best way to spend money. The experience is unplayable.

Celso is a tattoo artist specialist in realism, especially in portraits. He has his own tattoo shop named For my friends tattoo studio located in Providencia, Santiago.
I absolutelly love his job because his technique, the details that he can get with the needles impresses me every time that I see his tattoos. He can capture the look of the person of animal and really trasmit the essence of them, also he is so great in black and grey or color, so I consider him as very complete tattooist. Celso also make seminars of realism for tattoo artist who want to improve his technique, teaching from the operation of the machine to get better results.
He is one of my inspirations and somehow my way to follow for this incredible job.

Autobiography

Hi everyone!

My name is Valentina Yáñez Ponce, I'm 22 years old and I'm a tattoo artist and an art student.
I'm from San Vicente de Tagua Tagua and I move to Santiago to study arts in the University of Chile in 2012. In 2013 I froze my studies and learn how to tattoo, in that moment I decided to make my career.
This year I change my central workshop to the experimental (I was in painting before) to develop and grow up more in the tattoo area.
Now I go to San Vicente to visit my family, my pets, my friend and for work. I love San Vicente, is very calm and have beautiful places to go, like lagoons or the hills, that are my favourite. Also you can travel surroundings by bike. That is a great exercise and a great form of knowing my people :)

Thank you for reading!

The experience as a blogger

Well, I like to write in general, but do it in other language is a very different thing. Written about themes in english force myself to think and articulate in my head all in english, trying to not traduce literally what I want to say, sometimes works and sometimes not to much haha, but as I like to write is not very difficult to me redact a text.
Have the obligation to write every week causes in fact, that your mind stop think in spanish and try to express themselves fluently in this language. Your vocabulary increases and I think that the ability to speak increases to, the fact to write helps you in the form how you express and how to combine the verbs in the right way, how to use the connectors and when use a word or another one.
I would like to add to this experience more interaction between the classmates, add comments related to the post but in oral way, so we can practice more the speaking and how to establish a conversation with a person. Personally I understand more that I talk english, so the discussions, presentations or group works helps me a lot in the oral expression. I think also, that this is related to the shame to speak in another language that you don't dominate, but in the end, practice is the answer.
Finally I would like to talk about more of my family, my friends or my hobbies like been in the nature, travel a lot, take photos, make crafts. I love to learn new things all the time :)
Thank u for this space and thanks for reading!
See u soon!

Love of cartoons

When I think in cartoons a lot of images come to my head, so I try to talk about a little of all that I like to wash when I was a child.
I love Sponge Bob SquarePants and The Fairly OlddParents, that are a cartoons that if I'm looking the tv guide and they appear I steal watching that channel. Sponge Bob tell the aventures of a sponge who live in a pineapple in the bottom of the sea with his pet, a snail named Gary. Sponge Bob is a chef in Krusty Krab, is very innocent and friendly. His neighbors are Squidward Tenclacles who play the clarinet and love arts, also is very embittered and Patrick Star his best friend, Patrick is a fool haha but nice.
The Fairly OddParents are the story of Timmy Turner, a kid neglected by his parents and tortured by his babysitter Vicky. The life of Timmy change when Cosmo and Wanda appear, they are two fairy godparents to granted Timmy fulfilling all his wishes trying to improve his miserable life.
I have to talk about also, about my favorite cartoons of all time, that are definitely The Simpsons. There are already many years that this serie exit, they have a lot of seasons (24  if I'm not mistaken) and I see them like 8 years at least. I don't get tired (and I think that I never get tired) of them. I laugh with every episode, I love the occurrences and absurdities of Homer, I think that all of us have something like him, and in general the family and the citizens of Spriengfield represent very well our life.
I remeber see also Hey! Arnold, Aaah! Real Monsters, Catdog, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Cow and chicken, Dexter's Laboratory, The little Lulu show… I saw a lot of tv, I'm a huge fan of cartoons in fact.

My pets ♥♥♥

I want to share with you, one of the most important parts in my life, my pets.

In my parent's house there are two dogs and a cat. The firts dog that we had its named Simon, is a poodle that came to home in the christmas eve in 2000, it was a present that a brother's classmate who would go to live to USA. When he was puppy, he was a little aggressive, but with the years he turned very spoiled, he sleeping and traveling with us. He was just like a baby.

In the 2006 we decided to Simon became in father, we wanted a new little dog, so in this year Alfonso was born :), when he was two months of life, we brought to home with us (his mother is from Talc . Alfonso always has been very playful and disastrous, so when he came to the house, my parents decided that him and Simon has to stay only in the garden, because Alfonso destroyed everything that he found.

In 2009, when I was at the school, while I was in the yard a saw a suffering little cat that totally breaks my heart. I searched a box and put the tiny cat in there and came to my home. The cat was very sick, so I took it to the vet, he examined and prescribed medicine, as I didn'thave money I told the vet that my mom would go to pay latter and he had no problem. I tried to clean the cat to my parents accept it but they didn't want it. I looked home for him but as he was sick, nodoby wanted to take care. Finally I take responsabillity for the tiny cat, he recovered and he became in a beautifull cat named Cucho. Now he is my parents favorite.

Simon, Alfonso and Cucho live in my parents house and I visit them frequently, but this year as I feel alone in my department I adopted a cat 8 months ago, his name is Panda and he change my life in here completely. He gives me a lot of love and I feel very in love with him, he accompanies me everywhere, sleep and eat with me, he is a wonderfull gift that I appreciate everyday to have in here <3

Claude Monet

Hi again :)
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a4/Claude_Monet_1899_Nadar_crop.jpgToday I want to talk about an artist that I admire, that is Claude Monet.
He was born in Paris in 1840, he is consider the most important representative of Impressionism, during his career he made about 3000 paintings. His main interest was to translate the chromatic-light vibration in the paintings, his favorites themes was the marine, river scenes and landscapes. He wanted to show the passage of time, so he made very fast strokes to capture the moment. The painting “Impression, rising sun” was wich gave the name to the movement.
In his famous series of nenuphars, Monet showed the 4 seasons of the year. In these paintings we can see how he painted, fast and accurate strokes and with a lot of paste. As he wanted to capture the precise moment, used much synthesis. I like him for his ability to build the elements only by spots and the use of color, looking closely we can see his technique and from afar in fact we see the nature scene like really is.

Hi everyone, I looooove to cook and try new things so today and want to share a recipe that I made when celebrate 6-months relationship with my boyfriend. Firt I put to cook the spaghetti, while I put the spinach, basil and the avocado in the blender with a little of olive oil. When the spaghetti this cooked I keep a little of the water. I add butter and salt to spaghetti and I keep it covered. To the mix with spinach, basil and avocado I add slowly the nuts and for a smooth cream also add the cooking water of spaghetti, finally add salt at ease and ready!  I served with tomato and grated cheese.
Is very fast, very easy and very tasty ;)

Te pito te henua ♥

Iorana korua! :)
Today I want to share a photo of Ahu Nau Nau in Anakena beach of Easter Island.
This photo was taken for me in my visit to the island in February this year.

The "ahu" is a ceremonial platform where it was worshiped ancestors. The Ahu Nau Nau is one of the most important, Anakena was the place where the King Hotu Matu'a first landed with his entourage to populate the island. The ahu was restored in 1978 by Sergio Rapu and his team, he's the island’s first professional archaeologist.
I like this photo because this was the first time that I saw the moais... it's a little difficult put into words everything that I felt, but there was some much energy in that place, I felt life, like really was someone there. Stand in front of them make me felt also very small and insignificant, really is amazing to think how can built and transported them.
Look the moais and have the beach with warm turquoise waters and white sand behind them, was a wonderful postcard.
